I have engaged Leo on several of our Development Projects. As is normal in the planning stage we have had had to overcome numerous obstacles in achieving the necessary approvals. Leo Jensen worked with and advised Southern Downs Regional Council in the areas of waste management and recycling.  Leo assisted Southern Downs Regional Council with complex procurement processes and contract management, as well as developing a suite of actions to manage asbestos in the green waste stream.  At all times Leo provided Council with professional advice and insights into how waste management services could be best delivered to the different communities of the Southern Downs.  Leo has a solid understanding of what represents best practice in waste management and recycling, as well as holding demonstrated experience in the management of large-scale municipal waste facilities.

Leo Jensen was a Senior Manager at Caboolture Shire Council during my term as Mayor. Leo led his staff with energy and compassion. His drive to protect sensitive land and endangered species was outstanding. Leo initiated many environmental projects resulting in lasting beneficial outcomes into the future. Leo Jensen is an Adjunct Industry Fellow and foundational member of the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Urban Design and Town Planning Program Advisory Committee. His more than 15 years involvement at USC, has been decisive in shaping and developing our award-winning Planning Institute of Australia accredited Honours degree. His dedication to supporting the next generation of planners cannot be understated.
