As part of the Australian Government’s Housing Affordability Fund (HAF) initiative to make housing more affordable, the Council of Mayors (SEQ) was successful in securing $1.78 Million from the Department of Families Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) for the HAF – Liveable Compact Cities Project (LCCP).
Leo was engaged by the Council of Mayors (SEQ) as Project Manager providing strategic direction and management for the project’s foundation stages, and ensuring funding obligations, project objectives, and timeframes were met on time and within budget.
This project focused on the role of medium density residential development in improving housing affordability, particularly looking at the South-East Queensland region.
The project received a commendation at the 2012 PIA (Qld) Awards for Planning Excellence.
